Being the Boss of the Boss

You won't need an ancient mantra or a spooky spell. It won't even work just so your boss could lend an ear. They're stubborn as a bull and they're full of suicidal ego. It's a universal standard for a jerk.

The safe and effective trick to cheat the boss as a puppet is to live and let live. Tolerate him, even his craziness. You could argue with him all your life and win on several occasions, but he's still the boss. He would counter every reasonably sounding information and advice. Nobody wins against an ego, believe me.

Stop fawning like a dog. He might think you're after the position. When everybody's against him, try to hear his point. Make it seem like there's sense in his dire foolishness. Believe me, he'll still despise you but he'll open up more, enough to make you his golf buddy.

When you're already at ease with his stinking breath and you seem to make a perfect attendance whenever he explodes to justify a stupid cause, that's the time when you can react. Take it slow, little by little, creep into his willpower and judgment. Stay humble while you move him like a puppet. Before your boss realizes it, you have him by the neck to even resist the hypnotic spell.
