Life for me isn't like a box of chocolate. It's more like a cheesy macaroni or a tuna casserole. I remember, when I was a kid, I hated sticky and icky for it gives me instant nausea. As soon as I see one, I'm feel the urge to puke out all my morning breakfast. Well, the evil mom harassed me into nibbling a piece of this crap so I learned to like it then love it. Challenge is life's fabric. If you won't dare, you won't bear.
The office is a battlefield. The big boss is the
greatest opponent of all. Nothing's ever right, and he complains just about everything (I'd rather go home to my nagging wife!). To further reign in doom, he raised a delusive quota to reach. At the end of the month, we're all frustrated and stressed out. The records were sluggish, and we didn't even budge. Why? Because it ain't a challenge at all! It's mission imposible, that's why.
Then he changed his strategy. He gave us lower quotas and
lenient work loads. After a month, we had the perfect turn out. After another three, we're still hitting some quotas. But after a while work became such a bore. I was starting to like my boss and I hate it. It's such a rut!
So what seems to be the problem? There isn't enough challenge. It's the challenge that fuels our desire, that tenses our nerves, stresses us out, but in the end stimulates a sense of accomplishment or some sort of drive. A challenge is like a libido.
What's the hitch besides finally eating that cheesy macaroni? Set up the right challenge, the right quota--enough to stir, enough to smear. How the hell would anybody know about the right quota or challenge? I don't know, ask my boss, he's the one who sits around and receives a large paycheck, that's why I hate him more and more.
Just a few days back, I almost fired a sexy staff when I caught her playing the TextTwist on her computer. Nothing's wrong with it, except when it's during a damn office hour. I wondered how she could still find time to play when the whole office is a me

I love my dad and he's always been around for any major and minor outbreaks in my life. But lately, this seemingly warm relationship is fast teetering on a rift. I don't understand why but he always seems cranky, moody, and most of the time, oblivious.
