I know for a fact that there are millions of job seekers seeking for
better job opportunities worldwide. More often than not, many of them are underemployed. I must admit that I was once underemployed and I was not very effective in my job because I was doing something which did not have something to do with my educational attainment. It was pretty tough, but I was able to get rid of that predicament through hard work and dedication in equal forms.
There is a common syndrome where in many professional just take any kinds of jobs no matter how odd they may be. This is for the sake of having a job and earn income.
Underemployment problems are common not only in the US, but in the rest of the countries worldwide. When faced with such predicament, what one can do is to enhance one's education. Just like in my case, I studied further and earned more expertise. I also maintained my skills and remained visible in the community through some volunteering works and I kept my network very healthy because I pinged contacts at appropriate period of intervals. I just did my best and gave my best shot until such time that my efforts were no longer left unnoticed, but recognized. Now, I am pretty much happy with my new job because it is what I really wanted to do.
